Online course on SDGs: Call for applications

The Leiden Delft Erasmus Alliance (LDE) and the African Studies Centre Leiden (ASCL) invites African-based students to apply and participate in a 4week small private online course(SPOC) entitled A Critical Engagement with Advancing the SDGs. The objective of this course is to develop critical, transdisciplinary and innovative approaches to sustainable development initiatives.

The SPOC is presented as a virtual classroom for LDE African Dynamics Minor students and selected students from African countries. Representing multiple disciplines, they collaboratively explore four sustainable planning approaches to wicked problems. The global classroom creates a space to mobilise knowledge from global to local scales across cultural boundaries. Through discussions and group assignments, theoretical knowledge is translated into practice from various perspectives.

Approximately 25 guest bachelor and masters students who represent a broad multi-disciplinary cohort from the African continent, will be selected to participate.

To apply, please compete the SPOC Application Form that serves as your motivation letter to be selected to participate and has to be submitted before Wednesday 2 November 2022. For any further questions, contact Madi Ditmars MinorAfricanDynamics@asc.leidenuniv.nl
