Archive and Gender: Views from the Maghreb
From March 14 until March 16, Mohamed V University and NIMAR organize the workshop “Archive and Gender: Views from the Maghreb”.
This international, interdisciplinary workshop invites the critical exploration of the productivity of gender as an analytical category across different fields of North African history by focusing on the theme of archives. More precisely, it aims at studying archives not only as a source of information about gendered social and representational regimes, but also as an object of inquiry in itself.
The full programme can be found here.
The first day will be hosted at the Faculty of Letters & Human Sciences, Mohammed V University. NIMAR is the venue on Friday and Saturday.
Please note that limited places are available at NIMAR. If you're interested to attend, please send an e-mail to nimar@hum.leidenuniv.nl
