Islam studytrip
Morocco is one of the few countries in North Africa to have peacefully shaped the Arab Spring by embarking on a path of broad and sustained political reform. The Moroccan government also explains the relative social peace by its islamic policy, aimed at moderation, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Leiden University and the Dutch Embassy in Rabat are organizing a study trip for a select group of young people who want to become acquainted with this Moroccan model. Participants are challenged to think critically about this from a Dutch perspective in an exchange with each other and with Moroccan conversation partners. The study trip will take place from 5 to 14 May 2016.
