Competence Network "Postcolonial Hierarchies in Peace & Conflict"
The network investigates how historically emerged postcolonial hierarchies are reflected in contemporary conflict dynamics and what implications this has for sustainable conflict transformation in the future. In doing so, it brings together historical perspectives on - in particular colonially shaped - contexts of conflict formation with postcolonial research perspectives and methods, as well as theories of peace and conflict studies. This network is a joint project of the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute (Freiburg), University of Bayreuth, and Erfurt University.
Please see here for the vacancy announcements and more information about the competence network.

It is an interdisciplinary research initiative located at the federal state of Hesse in cooperation with the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, Goethe University Frankfurt, Justus Liebig University Giessen, and Technical University Darmstadt.
