Vacancy in Arabic and Islam studies (KULeuven)

The Faculty of Arts at KU Leuven seeks to appoint a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Arabic and Islam Studies beginning 1 October 2018. The KU Leuven is looking for candidates who are internationally oriented, have excellent teaching competence and a strong research record. Mastering Modern Standard Arabic at native or near-native level is essential. Fluency in a spoken dialect is desirable. The position will be affiliated with the Research Unit of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the KU Leuven, located on the campuses of Leuven and Antwerp. Constructive collaboration among the members of this Research Unit at both locations is essential for its success.
