Introduction day, Rabat 2018

By now, students have started developing both their standard Arabic and Moroccan Arabic. Because language is inextricably linked to local society and culture, students also receive guest lectures from Moroccan academics about Moroccan culture and society. Students have already had lectures on politics, civil society, social uprisings and religion. In addition, students go on a weekly excursion every week to get to know the context of Moroccan society and experience it themselves.

For example, students visited Salé with an archaeological perspective, led by archaeologist professor Krombi. Students travelled to Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque and to discover the annual book fair. Students also visit museums and various institutes such as the Al Mowafaqa institute. In short, a rich introduction to Moroccan culture and society.
