Call for Papers: “Narratives: Negotiating Meaning, Knowledge, and Identity”

On 11-12 April 2024, the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS) will host the two-day conference “Narratives: Negotiating Meaning, Knowledge, and Identity”. This cross-cultural and cross-historical conference asks: how do we shape the world through narrative, and how do these narratives in turn shape us? The conference will feature keynote lectures by Dr Caroline Dodds Pennock (University of Sheffield) and Professor Nidesh Lawtoo, (Leiden University). The Conference Committee encourages participation from a diverse range of researchers across the humanities and social sciences.

We invite proposals for 20-minute individual papers and complete panels of three presentations. For more information, please see the attached call for papers and the conference website:
