Talk and games "Past at Play"

Join us for an insightful talk on heritage and games entitled "Past at Play" presented by the LUCAS department from Leiden University.

In this talk, Sybille Lammes and Angus Mol will delve into the intriguing concept that culture is play and play is culture, originally introduced by the renowned Leiden historian Huizinga. ✨

Exploring the playful history of our cultures, they will guide us in understanding how we can experience and reimagine the past through play. Drawing from their work in the "Past at Play" project, they will present a framework for contemplating, studying, and engaging with history through various case studies. 

From ancient board games to Dutch Roman heritage and beyond, Sybille and Angus will showcase their research on past-play, unveiling fascinating insights. But that's not all! Towards the end of the talk, they will open up a dialogue with the audience to explore how these perspectives and approaches can contribute to supporting and enriching Moroccan heritage, both past and present.
